Virtual run extended

THE Durex-MAF IAMD2021 Virtual Run has been extended to July 30.

Organised in conjunction with the International AIDS Memorial Day, it is the first international virtual run organised by Durex and the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF).

Registration for the virtual event has also been extended.

The decision was made to ensure the safety of all participants and parties involved, following the enforcement of Phase One of the National Recovery Plan.

The event aims to raise funds for the treatment, care and support programmes for people living with HIV in Malaysia.

The virtual run was open for registration via the BookDoc app available on App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Gallery.

The overall programme is aimed at raising funds to expand the Paediatric AIDS Fund according to the sustainability development goals set by the United Nations.

The foundation is committed to supporting the main goals which focus on good well-being and health, quality education and ensuring that there is no poverty.

A total of 567 participants have signed up and pledged their donations for the cause.

All runners are required to run the equivalent of 200,000 steps with BookDoc app to track their achievements and progress.

They will receive a unique heart-shaped medal and T-shirt that will be sent out after the event.

Registration is now open with a fee of RM59, excluding delivery of the T-shirt and medal.

To register, click on “Challenges” in the BookDoc app.
