THE Johor Agriculture Department aims to grow at least 40,000 pandan coconut (kelapa pandan) trees this year to meet the growing demand for the fruit.
Johor agriculture, agro-based and rural development committee chairman Datuk Samsolbari Jamali said the state was one of the main producers of pandan coconut in the country, with about 40% market share.
