KUANTAN: Pahang government is imposing additional measures to face the Covid-19 threat.
State secretary Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak said the situation was under control but nevertheless, government departments in Pahang were now discouraged from holding assemblies and events with more than 100 people in attendance at any one time.
Personnel from these departments are also not encouraged to attend events, programmes, seminars, workshops, working visits, training and meetings outside Pahang.
They are discouraged from holding meetings or any programmes involving parties from outside the state as well.
This measure would be in place until Oct 22, he added.
Sallehuddin said that in tightening the standard operating procedures, all local authorities were required to enforce the limitation of restaurant patrons as spelled out in the National Security Council’s updated guidelines.
“Action will be taken against any non-compliance, ” he warned.
He said both public and private golf clubs were advised to only allow members to play.
As for mosques which had been ordered closed since Sept 25, they were now allowed to reopen as there were no new Covid-19 transmission in those localities.
