Jolly good time for pressmen

PRESSMEN from various media platforms enjoyed an evening filled with laughter and delicious food at the Iconic Media Appreciation Night at Iconic Hotel in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

They were treated to a wide array of scrumptious delights and entertained by a lively band.

The event also saw several media folk walking away with attractive prizes such as a smartphones, home electrical appliances and hotel stays.

Iconic Group executive director James Tan said the event was a gesture of appreciation to media members for their great work in writing and reporting news as well as providing publicity and coverage for businesses and corporations in Malaysia.

“Iconic Worldwide Berhad, formerly known as Sanbumi Holdings Berhad, is a Bursa Malaysia-listed company that is primarily involved in tourism and property businesses.

Tan added that some of Iconic’s notable projects include Icon City, Iconic Hotel, Iconic Skies and Iconic Vue.

“In September, we also launched Iconic Point, a premier commercial hub located in Simpang Ampat, Seberang Prai.

“Iconic Point consists of 49 commercial shoplots and was 100% taken up within two days after the launching.

“On the other hand, we also recently celebrated the successful handover of Iconic Vue, an affordable housing project with seaview at Batu Ferringhi.

“Located directly opposite Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang and Golden Sands Resort, Iconic Vue is the lowest density affordable housing project in town starting from only RM300,000.

“However, there are no more units available as Iconic Vue is fully sold out, ” he said.

Also present at the media appreciation night was Iconic Group founder and chairman Datuk Tan Kean Tet.
