TRADITIONAL home favourites will be the flavour for this year’s Ramadan buffet at Weil Hotel in Ipoh. Themed “Dari Dapur Bondaku” (From My Mother’s Kitchen), guests will be served a wide spread of traditional Malay dishes at the hotel’s Tiffin restaurant.
Offerings such as Nasi Permata, a briyani rice dish with pomegranate, macademia nuts and raisins, daging salai nangka, ikan patin gulai tempoyak, dalcha kambing, and Rendang Tok will feature prominently.
Also available will be a stall corner where diners can get dishes like shawarma, sup tulang, fried noodle, satay, cucur and grilled lamb.
For dessert, the hotel will offer a spread of items such as green bean dessert with durian, traditional Malay kuih, cakes and also tropical fruits.
In conjunction with the fasting month, the hotel will also be giving away 1,000 servings of bubur lambuk at the hotel and the Stadium Perak Ramadan bazaar on May 19 and 26.
A spokesman said the porridge will be given to the public starting at 4pm.
“We will give out 500 servings on each day for people to break fast,” the spokesman said.
The Ramadan promotion will be available from May 17 to June 14 from 7pm to 10pm.
The prices are RM88 nett for adults, RM78 for senior citizens, and RM48 for children, aged between 5 and 12.
The hotel is also selling a buffet dinner booklet with five vouchers and one complimentary voucher for RM440.
