Tuck into all-time favourite rice dumplings at Xin Cuisine, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur until June 20. This traditional Chinese delicacy is served during the yearly Duan Wu Festival or Dragon Boat Festival. The rice dumplings, made of glutinous rice and stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo, reed or other large flat leaves are steamed or boiled. They are a traditional favourite with both savoury and sweet versions available. Xin Cuisine has three types of dumpling. The supreme dumpling contains smoked oyster, roast pork, dried shrimp, lotus seed, chestnut, mushroom, roasted duck and salted egg yolk while the savoury dumpling is made with pork belly, Japanese mushroom, chestnut meat, mei tau and salted egg yolk. The chicken Nyonya dumpling has mushroom, pork meat and dried shrimp. The dumplings are available for eat-in or take-away.
