SMART Reader Worldwide held its Smart Mandarin Relaunch programme at three locations in its aim to raise awareness about the importance of Mandarin.
The programme was held at Sunway Velocity in Kuala Lumpur, Sutera Mall in Johor Baru and Plaza Merdeka in Sarawak.
Smart Mandarin is designed to help children master the dialect in a fun and easy way.
The curriculum, suitable for children between the ages of three and eight, adopts the Han Yu Pin Yin approach which has been adopted by the Inter-national Organisation for Standardisation.
By applying the Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology to the programme, children are able to develop interest in the dialect and easily learn to appreciate it.
Themed “Parents Appreciation Day”, the one-day programme also aimed to promote family values through activities such as the parents day card-making competition and parent and child lookalike contest.
There were also performances such as a play, poem recital, dances and fashion show by Smart Reader Kids centres nationwide.
“As the frontrunners of quality early childhood education programmes in Malaysia, we are actively committed to transforming every child’s potential into achievement.
“We strive to provide a premier quality educational experience for children, overseeing their overall physical, cognitive, emotional and social development,” said Smart Reader Worldwide executive director Keefe Ong.
