THE Metro section of The Star is one of the favourite sections of the newspaper for many readers. One of them is Halimah Yaakob, a personnel finance executive of a bank in Baling, Kedah.
Halimah, 43, said she enjoyed the Metro section as it carries many local stories.
“I also like the section where many things such as houses are advertised for sale.
“I prefer the hard copy of the newspaper compared with the ePaper although many of my colleagues said the ePaper is much more convenient,” she added.
She said this when met at an ongoing The Star year-end promotion roadshow at the Aman Central Mall in Alor Setar on Thursday.
During the promotion, those who sign up for The Star’s ePaper bundle package for just RM360 per year or renew their subscription at RM280 per year will get four free entrance passes to the Crystal Museum in Penang.
Those who sign up for a month’s access to the ePaper at RM30 will also get the free passes.
The Star’s booth is located at the malls’ central atrium on the ground floor. Its roadshow is on from noon to 8pm until tomorrow.
Another visitor to the booth was businesswoman Hannan Rahaman, who said the contents of The Star were very good and suitable for both adult readers and school children.
Hannan, 29, said she was attracted to the many stories carried by the newspaper.
For details on the promotion, call The Star at 04-7311864 in Alor Setar or 04-6473399 in Penang.
