Duo in the running for accolade

HUNDREDS of bootleg remixes and several releases on various labels over the last nine years have brought Malaysian trance producer/DJ duo Simon Lee & Alvin to be the first Malaysians in the running for Dutch supertrance maestro Armin Van Buuren’s now legendary brand/record label/radio show/festival A State of Trance Tune of the Year with their recent single Xcelerate.

“It feels so surreal and amazing to be the first Malaysian artiste with a single nominated for tune of the year. A State of Trance is a global radio show and a popular platform for quality electronic music, so being featured has been a great opportunity for us,” Simon said.
