Forest Dept: No timber concession licences issued

KUCHING: Occupational ticket (OT) licences and letters of authority (LA) issued by the state Forest Department are meant for land clearing for development purposes and should not be confused with timber concession licences.

Resource Planning and Environment Ministry permanent secretary Datuk Sudarsono Osman said OT licences and LA were issued when land was approved for development and agriculture conversion.
