Ministry to find affordable solutions for road construction on peat soil

KUCHING: The Works Ministry will look into finding affordable solutions for road construction on peat soil, including the Pan Borneo highway project in Sarawak.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the cost of building roads in peat areas in the state could well exceed RM20mil per kilometre due to the soil’s soft nature.
