KUALA TERENGGANU: The house-to-house campaigns and awareness programmes on vaccination conducted by the state Health Department have proved to be a success.
Its director Dr Mohammad Omar said parents who were at first reluctant to have their children or even themselves vaccinated to avoid diseases as they doubted the vaccine’s halal status, have now agreed to be vaccinated after the programme and following reports of diphtheria cases in Malaysia.
