KUCHING: The Local Government Ministry will bid for more funds for local authorities in Sarawak based on the development thrusts and objectives in the 11th Malaysia Plan.

Assistant Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil said the main sources of funding for the local authorities came from Federal grants as well as state and internal sources of revenue such as rates, fees, licenses, levy and interest.
