THE country’s first underground sewage treatment plant (STP) is expected to be completed by May this year.

Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Harjeet Singh said construction of the Pantai 2 Sewage Treatment Plant (P2STP), which is equipped with state-of-the-art green technology, started in July 2011.
