Offenders prosecuted for encroaching into forest reserves

ALL 25 arrests by the Selangor Forestry Department this year for encroachment of permanent forest reserves have been successfully prosecuted, with some offenders even sentenced to jail.

Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Elizabeth Wong said this during the 13th state assembly sitting in reply to Ng Suee Lim (DAP-Sekinchan) who asked about forest conservation in Selangor.
