PONTIAN: Three local fishing boats with nine crew were detained for illegal fishing activities off Rambah waters near here in the non-designated fishing spots under the Fisheries Department.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Johor Baru detained the boats in the area on Oct 17, between 4pm and 6pm, following a tip-off from the public.
