KL STREET RACE
The Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix is being held this weekend. The cars will race through a 3.2km circuit from Suria KLCC, passing through Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Perak and Jalan P. Ramlee. MBSA ON WHEELS
The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) mobile office is operating today from 11am to 5pm at the carpark compound of Plaza Shah Alam Section 9 (opposite Pelita restaurant). Residents can check outstanding compounds, pay outstanding arrears, lodge complaints and renew business licences. Those with outstanding parking compounds can settle them for only RM15. This offer is available only at MBSA’s mobile counter.
TOUCH ‘N GO PROMO
East Coast Expressway (ECE) users can now buy the Touch ‘n Go cards which are on promotion now at RM5 at all reload lanes and mixed-mode lanes at Gombak and Bentong toll plazas. This is to help prepare for the cashless toll payment system which will start on Sept 9.
MPAJ MOBILE OFFICE
Residents in Ampang Jaya can now pay their assessment fees at various mobile counters at markets set up by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) throughout this month. MBPJ HEALTH CAMP
The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is having a Health Awareness Camp tomorrow from 9am to 1pm at the tennis courts in Jalan SS23/6, Taman SEA. There will be free tests for blood glucose, blood pressure, eye checks, physiotherapy, talks, yoga, music therapy, dengue awareness and activities for children.
ART FEST IN SHAH ALAM
There will be a Program Warna organised by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) at Laman Seni 7, Shah Alam, Jalan Plumbum Q7/Q today, from 2pm to 7pm in conjunction with the Merdeka month. There will be wall murals to view, performances by local artistes and handicraft stalls.
PUPPIES UP FOR ADOPTION
Canine welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) is having its weekly adoption drive tomorrow at Setiawalk Puchong. The adoption drive from noon to 6pm will be held at the Ground Floor, next to Starbucks. More than 10 two-month-old puppies are up for adoption at the drive.
