KUCHING: WWF Malaysia supports the state government’s aspiration to have forest management units (FMUs) in Sarawak internationally accredited by 2017.
Its conservation director, Dr Sundari Ramakrishna, said this was the way forward for the state’s timber companies and FMUs to adopt responsible and sustainable forest management practices to ensure that forestry was carried out in a sustainable manner.
