Seismological study on proposed dams urged

KUCHING: The state government has been urged to carry out a seismological study for the proposed Baram and Baleh dams as geological maps show that there are fault lines in their vicinity.

Sarawak PKR vice-chairman See Chee How said the study must determine if the fault lines were active and whether they posed any risk of earthquakes.
