KUCHING: Some 200 people attended the “Coaching and Mentoring for Organisational Excellence” seminar here recently, organised by Naim Group of Companies as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
Among attendees were deputy state secretary Datuk Misnu Taha, other public officials and Naim’s senior management staff.
Naim managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasnan said the seminar was organised in the spirit of giving back to society and to promote the value of lifelong learning. “As part of our anniversary, we felt that it would be more meaningful to get our company more involved with the community,” Hasmi said in the opening address.
“This is one of our ways to convey appreciation to the community at large, whom have supported Naim throughout the years. Talent development is one of the key focus areas in Naim.”
Misnu commended the event, adding that the human capital development was crucial to Sarawak’s growth. He said the state government was also promoting continuous learning among staff.
“I’m happy to note Naim upholds the culture of continuous learning, and commend Naim for this effort. Let us work together to build and enhance our human capital, for the continued growth and prosperity of our organisations, state and nation, and better lives for our communities,” Misnu added.
