Tighter security to check foot-brawl

The latest ambulance that could have performed a valuable service for Terengganu was reduced to a charred hulk on Saturday night, all because of football rioting.

KUCHING: Police here will step up surveillance at football matches to prevent untoward incidents such as the rioting at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Terengganu last weekend.

Kuching police chief ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad said tighter security and crowd control measures would be taken at the State Stadium in Petra Jaya here from now on.
