I WAS delighted when I saw the cover of the June 9 issue of Clove featuring Chelsea Clinton looking vibrant and effortlessly beautiful. Not many who are born to life’s opportunities empathise with the less privileged. Confident and civic-minded like her mother, Clinton draws strength and equanimity from her grandmother who overcame life’s hardships in her earlier years. I admire Clinton’s mission to create awareness on the plight of women in less fortunate countries. Clove’s piece, A life less ordinary captures her as the wondrously compassionate and brilliant woman that she is. More importantly, she has inspired women to rise above their circumstances and to maintain dignity even when luck is not on their side.
Thanks to Clove for featuring How To Shop Till You Drop. As a supposed shopaholic, I took note of your shopping tips. I smiled to myself when I read some of the things said about the impulsive shopper. I used to be a clothes horse and clothes meant the world to me. Clove has rescued me from yet another shopping expedition I was about to indulge in.
