Our columnist checks out five classic single malt whiskies from the world’s largest producers of whisky, Diageo.

WHEN it comes to whiskies, they don’t get bigger than Diageo. The world’s biggest spirits company (they own two of the world’s biggest spirits brands – Smirnoff vodka and Johnnie Walker), the drinks conglomerate is also the world’s largest whisky producer, with 28 malt distilleries, two grain distilleries, and a total of almost 12 million casks of whisky in their stores.
