Amazing race! Jungle run and ocean swim honours author of ‘The Jungle is Neutral’

Chong overtook five other contestants in the open water swim section to claim second place overall. The biathlon also featured a jungle run.

One guy who turned jungle trekking and nature observation into a heroic war effort was Colonel Freddy Spencer Chapman, who recorded his exploits in the book The Jungle Is Neutral.

Last month, a biathlon combining a jungle run and open water swim, was held at Pangkor Laut, the private island off Pangkor Island in Perak, to honour the courage and determination of this British Army officer.
