If the headwear trend began earlier this year with hats worn over scarves, the latest evolution is hats worn over stockings.

Atiissu, a new headwear brand by Iicombined – the creative force behind innovative eyewear brand Gentle Monster and fragrance brand Tamburins – is quickly becoming a hot topic on Instagram, even before its official launch.

The trend kicked off when Felix of Stray Kids styled the brand’s debut “Stocking Collection”, which turned heads for its unique designs blending a Y2K aesthetic with a technical edge.

Fashion insiders quickly took notice of the bold and futuristic look.

Over the past week, influencers with over one million followers, including Risabae and Heejoo, flooded social media with posts showcasing the brand's upcoming products, further amplifying the buzz.

The name "Atiissu", purported to be a fusion of the words “timeless” and “issue”, reflects the brand’s philosophy: creating trendsetting designs that spark conversations and leave a lasting impression on the fashion industry.

The Stocking Collection reinterprets the use of stockings, portraying flexibility and freedom in modern urban life. The collection features seven main pieces, including Heal, Stocking, Bouffant and Collant.

“From effortless daily wear to iconic fashion headwear for special occasions, we aim to offer a wide range of styles and moods that cater to the diverse tastes and needs of our consumers,” said an Atiissu representative.

Marking its official launch, Atiissu will very soon open its first flagship store in Sinsa-dong, a trendy district in Seoul’s Gangnam-gu. – The Korea Herald/ANN
