Designed to fuel passion for luxury watchmaking, Art of Time has just wrapped up its 10th edition of celebrating craftsmanship, precision and design in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Taking place from Oct 2 to Oct 13 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the signature horological event by luxury watch retailer Swiss Watch gave visitors an immersive experience of watchmaking excellence as it presented a curated collection of the world’s finest timepieces.

The exhibition showcased eight historical maisons aside from featuring a specially curated presentation of timepieces from independent watchmakers.

The lineup included Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Bovet, Bianchet, Breitling, Bremont, Bvlgari, Cyrus, Jaquet Droz, Perrelet, Piaget, Reservoir, Speake-Marin, TAG Heuer, Tudor and Zenith.

Art of Time took over the sprawling concourse of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, converting the 3,500sq ft space into a so-called “watch playground”.

The event was launched with an elegant cocktail soiree on opening day.

To kick off the evening in spectacular fashion, guests were welcomed to an exclusive sneak preview from renowned Malaysian fashion designer Rizman Ruzaini, who presented “Mehrunissa”, the Fall/Winter 2024 collection that was showcased at the Dubai Fashion Week in the UAE.

This collection celebrates the rich legacy of the Mughal dynasty, focusing on Empress Mehrunissa who was famed for her beauty and remembered for the extraordinary authority she held in a male-dominated society.

Every piece showcased spoke of her grace, each piece carefully paired with a beautiful watch that carried resonating values.

In commemoration of Swiss Watch’s journey in the world of horology, the retailer also marked the 10th edition of Art of Time by announcing Datuk Azizulhasni Awang as the very first Friend of Valiram.

As one of the most decorated Malaysian sports icons who have risen to the highest level in the arena as an Olympian, he is no doubt an inspirational figure and fitting for the role.

Art of Time, which debuted in 2011, was originally introduced in Kuala Lumpur to provide an opportunity for the local watch community to experience a slice of that Swiss adventure in Basel and Geneva.

This year’s celebration of fine watchmaking was brought to another level through a collaboration with artisanal Swiss chocolate, Laderach.

World chocolate master and Laderach chief creative officer Elias Laderach made a special appearance and captivated guests with a Sensory Masterclass – an experience that guided guests through the most authentic chocolate flavours and textures while highlighting the shared blend of creativity and precision required in both watchmaking and chocolate-making.

Swiss Watch also held a classic car show at the venue in downtown Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with Art of Time’s 10th edition.
