Hair health is important in achieving a full head of glossy, beautiful and strong locks. With the right products, you should be able to stave off a myriad of problems – like excessive hair fall, breakage or frizz.

Here are the latest haircare essentials to try out.

Repair and restore

Kerastase’s Premiere range includes the Masque Filler Reparateur, an anti-breakage repairing resurfacing hair mask that restores moisture and strengthens all types of damaged hair.

While calcium is naturally present in hair, when hair is damaged it absorbs too much, leading to a calcium overdose, causing the hair fibre to weaken.

With its luxurious creamy texture, this decalcifying mask soaks into hair, delivering extra conditioning care to maximise hair recovery, particularly after chemical processing.

Key ingredients include peptide, a chain of amino acids that refills the hair surface with matter, and glycine, an amino acid that penetrates the hair’s inner layer to deeply repair once calcium is removed.

Luxurious hair care

Oribe’s Hair Alchemy Heatless Styling Balm is a lightweight product tailored for fine-to-medium hair, designed to shape heatless styles and enhance air-dried waves.

Infused with its Curative Blend, it reinforces fragile hair, while fermented yerba mate extract imparts a lustrous, healthy sheen.

With a bottle crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic that is entirely recyclable, the product’s outer carton is crafted from sustainable materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Its recyclable plastic pump features an innovative, mono-material locking mechanism, reducing excess components and packaging.

Frizz-free locks

Ouai’s Anti-Frizz Creme is made with upcycled jackfruit, beetroot extract and plant-based polymer for long-lasting frizz control for up to 72 hours.

It is also meant to provide heat protection, moisturise and hydrate hair and help reduce and repair split ends. Get ready to frizz-free up your schedule.

After washing and conditioning your hair, start with one pump of the cream, rubbing your palms together to ensure even distribution and help warm the product so it’s even easier to apply.

Apply starting at the ends of your hair where hair is usually drier and more prone to frizz, gently working through the ends and up towards the mid-lengths and roots.

Focus on areas where frizz is most prominent, such as the crown or around the face.

For smooth, thicker hair

The Powder Shampoo’s Invigorating & Fortifying Shampoo is a powder-to-foam, water-activated shampoo for thinning and ageing hair.

Made with bergamot essential oil to strengthen the hair bulb, it also contains biotin which is meant to reduce thinning, and ginger and ginseng to strengthen hair bulb.

Its coconut foaming agent cleanses the scalp and hair without stripping, while rice protein and corn condition and add shine.

The 100g refill pouch gives over 100 washes, and can be used to fill the 100g bottle once or the 20g mini bottles five times.

The bottles are made from 100% recyclable aluminium and refill pouches are made from 100% recyclable and compostable paper. The brand also plants one tree for every product they sell in a bid to offset the world’s carbon emissions.
