The cast of Astro’s highly-rated Oh My English! said they don’t get much chance to hang out outside of the show. But it doesn’t mean the chemistry isn’t there.
At a fun photoshoot in Menara Star, Petaling Jaya, the actors – Juliana Evans, Roax Tan, Zhafir Muzani and Kaameshaa Ravindran – were decked out in bright clothes courtesy of Amar Amran.
In between each shot, they took the time to catch up on each others’ lives.
Most of the attention were on Tan’s fancy and pricey kain songket; his cast members have decided to nickname him “Yang Berhormat” for the day.
There was also a lot of laughs when Zhafir showed the gang how to nail the perfect top model pose.
This festive season, 26-year-old Juliana will be heading back to Bagan Datoh in Perak. She remembers one Hari Raya when she burned her hand while playing with firecrackers.
“I was supposed to let go of the firecracker but for some reason, I thought maybe it would be fun and thrilling to just hang on to it till the last second. As a result I burned my hand. No, I won’t do it again. I was 19! Still a bit immature,” she said with a laugh.
Zhafir, 23, will be reuniting with his family members who are flying in from Tawau, Sabah. The Universiti Teknologi MARA student and actor – who now lives in Kajang, Selangor – said he enjoys the frenzy of last-minute shopping.
“I look forward to cooking for the family,” he adds.
Tan on the other hand said he is still waiting for an open house invitation from Zhafir.
The affable Kaameeshaa, 20, said Hari Raya is a time to spend with her best friend. “They treat me like I’m a part of the family! I love that. Good food and good company, what more can you ask for?”
