Chinese rapper Vava caused a huge uproar at the 2018 Global Chinese Music Golden Awards when she declined to accept her trophy during the presentation ceremony conducted in Macau on Nov 14.

The sassy 23-year old hip-hop star, whose real name is Mao Yanqi, initially took to the stage to claim her award for Best Female Rapper.
