Whoa. Guess what, it’s been 22 years since the first, iconoclastic Mission: Impossible movie that turned TV series stalwart Jim Phelps into a bad guy and introduced film franchise mainstay Ethan Hunt (played of course by the Cruiser, in case you’ve been in the fringe wastelands of pop culture for nearly a quarter century).

So perhaps it’s no coincidence that this sixth movie instalment (that would make it “MI6”, hur hur) also toys with the plot element of Ethan going bad.
