How car manufacturers want to get sustainable with recycled interiors

Pineapple fibres in the seats, kapok nuts in the fabric, and floor mats made out of old fishing nets. Car manufacturers are coming up with many new ideas to make production more environmentally sustainable.

However, the process is not without its difficulties. Not only is it a challenge to maintain current quality standards when using recycled materials, extracting the new eco-fabrics is also complex.
