Pandemic or not, work meetings are notorious for dragging on longer than they need to and failing to deliver real benefits. The problem, according to one expert, is that too many people are going into meetings without a clear goal.

Firstly, only people who have something to contribute should be invited to a meeting, be it on Zoom or in the office, says Carsten Seiffert, a corporate consultant and office efficiency trainer.
