Seksis by Anita Sarawak

From her bold fashion choices to her energetic dance moves, Anita has always been a fearless performer. Similarly, in Seksis, the Singaporean singer does not mince her words as she sings about the discrimination she experienced as a woman.

Released in 2004, the song urges listeners to look past the stereotypes and conventional roles assigned to women. And Anita delivers the song the way only she can - why, with a whole lot of sass and panache, of course!

Aku by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza

Malaysia's No. 1 singer talks about the uniqueness that comes with being a woman in 2015's Aku; that women can both be soft and strong; that women are sensitive enough to see the needs of others and courageous enough to take on life's challenges.

Tamparan Wanita by Elite

Popular 1990s girl group Elite enjoyed major success with this catchy, uptempo 1998 track, Tamparan Wanita. The song talks about a woman in an abusive relationship who finally finds the strength to stand up against her abuser.
