Paving the way for potential brain cancer cure

A clinical trial looking into the genes involved in the development of brain cancer in individual patients, which could potentially be targetted with drugs in the future, has been launched in Britain. — 123rf

The first patients with a deadly and incurable form of brain cancer have been enrolled in a trial that could pave the way for personalised treatments for the disease.

The research being conducted could one day allow medics to predict effective drugs for each person, experts suggest.
