Vii Nutrition’s Quest For Patented Ingredient - TetraSOD

Vii Nutrition Sdn Bhd managing director Lee Bin Hao.

With some 15 years experience in running businesses across different industries and fields, Lee Bin Hao was more than prepared when he founded Vii Nutrition.

Lee wasn’t alone as he embarked on a journey in search of fresh ideas and opportunities that would lead him to build his own company.

Fighting alongside Lee since his early foray into the business world was an old friend who was about 20 years his senior.

But despite the age difference, the two worked hand-in-hand and developed a good rapport, all while maintaining a fruitful working relationship for more than 15 years.

Sadly, their partnership came to an end when said friend succumbed to health problems and passed on, leaving behind his family and young children.

The untimely demise of an old friend reaffirmed Lee’s beliefs on the importance of good health and this inspired him to seriously ponder his future direction in life.

Equipped with the understanding that monetary success is nothing without good health, Lee was on a mission.

He scoured the globe for two years, and found what he was looking for in TetraSOD, which led to collaboration between Lee and Carlos Unamunzaga.

A novel therapeutic healthy ageing factor from Spain, TetraSOD has been clinically proven to be effective in restoring the body’s natural condition and reducing the detrimental effects of ageing and other health issues.

This inspired Lee to forge a new path.

After another three years of laying the groundwork for what eventually became Vii Nutrition, he stayed true to the course of “spreading good health through high quality nutrition supplements”.

Lee worked closely with researchers from the Bioprocessing & Biomanufacturing Research Center (BBRC) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to further develop the company’s product and succeeded in creating Malaysia’s first TetraSOD Microalgae+ (MA+) therapeutic healthy ageing factor.

The plant-based TetraSOD has been certified by the European Food Safety Authority and is a key ingredient in Vii Nutrition’s flagship range of products.

The company is committed to continual product development to improve its product line based on customer feedback and market research, ensuring that its products stay relevant to market and consumer needs.

Under Lee’s stewardship, Vii Nutrition has grown rapidly and remains a very hands-on leader working at the frontline of the company that has a solid foundation that brings people together from diverse backgrounds with the aim to promote good health to others.

Besides that, Lee has encouraged entrepreneurship with many of the partners at Vii Nutrition now, and has enjoyed varying degrees of success under the company’s CEO program.

As part of Vii Nutrition's philosophy of giving back to the community, the company has been active in implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to assist fellow Malaysians during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Lee, everyone at Vii Nutrition is an important piece of a jigsaw puzzle with important roles to play in revealing the beautiful picture of success and in opening a way to a better future.
