WHEN a fellow diner from an adjoining table bustled up to ours to enthuse how good the food was at Table 23, we were floored by his unexpected candour. Although the stranger’s opinion was unsolicited, I discovered later that the nondescript, five-month-old casual dining restaurant has been garnering more bouquets than brickbats from tourists and locals in the popular Tripadvisor portal.
