Overcrowding on express boats in Sarawak continues as there is a lack of enforcement on laws regulating its load even after the recent tragedy.

ON May 30, Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar was stopped at an immigration checkpoint in Sabah and told she was not allowed to enter the state. A furore immediately flared up, with many of those sympathetic with the PKR MP saying that it amounted to restricting the movement of a Malaysian within her own country.
