Dec 15-16: The Choir of the Philharmonic Society of Selangor entertains us with a mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas numbers.

The performance is aimed at creating awareness and raising funds for the Assunta Palliative Care Centre, , Society for The Severely Mentally Handicapped, Selangor and Federal Territory, Persatuan SLE Malaysia and the Light A Home Project. Admission: free. Time: 3pm and 4.30pm.

Dec 14-15: Trained by world-renowned vocal coaches Imogen Casares and Christine Weitz, get ready to be wowed by soul and jazz singer Rozz.

Audiences will be entertained by Rozz’s diverse musical stylings, which draw inspiration from an eclectic mix of artistes such as Barbra Streisand, Joan Sutherland, Freddie Mercury and Grace Jones.

Dec 15-16: The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra presents some of the best-loved French operas such as Lalo’s Overture, Salome’s Aria and Saint-Saëns’ Bacchanale in a splendid concert, Treasures of French Opera. Look out for performances by world-renowned soprano singer Nathalie Manfrino who has worked with music greats such as Sting, Elvis Castelo and Placido Domingo.

Dec 16: Local music group Hands Percussion is organising a carnival with Amway to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

The public is invited to join a 3km drum parade from Chong Hwa Independent High School, Jalan Ipoh to the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre.

Bring along any makeshift percussion instruments such as cans, biscuit tins, bottles and dustbin covers.

This will be followed by live performances by Hands Percussion and other local art groups, drumming workshops, art pieces for sale and many other activities.

Dec 16: Get free basic health checks and talks, listen to Christmas carols and take part in other fun-filled activities at this annual carnival organised by the Rotary Club of Gombak, Tropicana Medical Centre, Caring Citizens of Kota Damansara and the Petaling Jaya City Council.

Proceeds from the carnival will benefit five selected orphanages and fund an underprivileged youth empowerment programme.

Dec 15-16: Always wanted to learn the ropes of the acrobatic and circus trade? Sign up for a two-day workshop with physical theatre troupe Viva Circus and take home a few basic moves.

After that, witness the amazing Christmas-themed acrobatic production, Neverland, starring Australian Hip Hop Championships runner-up Adam Tan, Malaysian Ultimate Pole champion Samantha Yee and Life Inspired’s Body Blaze host Emily Tan.

The event will help raise funds for children with little opportunity and access to the arts.
