Rising from the ruins

Out of the unimaginable tragedy of March 11, 2011, emerges a face of Japan that the world will never forget – its people may have taken a severe beating but they will not allow themselves to be defeated.

SHIKO Miura is looking forward to going to the beach when she visits her relatives in the Philippines this summer. Her favourite subject in school is music and she wants to be a singer like her idol Hitoto Yo when she grows up.
