Mothers Day gives you the opportunity to celebrate that special woman in your life – Mum.
This Sunday is Mothers Day and it is the perfect time to surprise Mummy by serving her breakfast in bed, scribble “I Love You” in your handmade cards, and of course, share special bonding moments.
In conjunction with Mothers Day, we asked readers to compose a poem and make a card for Mummy or write her a tribute. Let’s find out what our young readers have prepared for their mums.
Ayza Arina Abdul Majid, 10, thinks the world of her mother. “I love my mother so much. She means the world to me. I appreciate her sweetness and kindness. She enjoys baking and spending time with her children.”
Debria Preethi Jeyarajah, 10, admires her mother Julie Ratnam’s courage, knowledge and kindness. “My mother is my hero. She helps me out with my homework. She is the best mother in the world. She also plays fun games with me. I love her very much.”
Jodie Tan Li Juen, 11, writes: “My mum Jennifer Lee is very creative. I want to bake a cake for Mummy for Mothers Day. I feel blessed to have her as my mum. Her unconditional love and care means everything to me.”
Younger sibling Jayden Tan Li Sheng, eight, says: “I love my mother very much because she makes my life joyful and blessed. She is loving, caring, and understanding. She’s my greatest inspiration and my best friend. I have made one special card for her and I will surprise her during Mothers Day. I pray that God will make my dearest mum happy and always keep her healthy and happy. I wish all mothers in the world, “Happy Mothers Day”.
Flora Sia, 10, thinks her mother is the best mom any child could ever ask for. “She knows how to cook and bake anything.She would sacrifice anything for me.”
“I would like to wish my mummy, grandma-mah mah and grandma-poh poh a Happy Mothers Day! Thank you for all the yoghurt drinks and ice creams and for listening patiently to my many stories. I love you all very much, ” says Asher Wang Qi Chuen, three.
Six-year-old Bethany Wang Qi Syuen writes: “Roses are red, violets are blue, Mummy, I thank God, for blessing me with you. You are my friend, you are my teacher, and you discipline to help me be better. Thank you and Happy Mothers Day!
