Hong Kong action star Sammo Hung has officially ended professional ties with his former representative Mable Chan.
In a statement shared by his son, actor Timmy Hung, on Instagram, the 74-year-old said their professional relationship ended on April 1 this year.
Sammo Hung said Chan is no longer authorised to make commitments, negotiate work arrangements or sign contracts and documents on his behalf.
He also stressed that he would not be held responsible for any unauthorised commitments or agreements made by Chan using his name.
“Should Ms Chan have previously made any commitments or engaged in any unlawful acts using my name without my consent or authorisation, I will not accept or be held responsible for such actions.
“Should she continue to make any commitments or enter into any agreements unlawfully in my name, I expressly reject and disclaim all responsibility for such commitments and agreements,” he wrote.
Hung did not disclose the reason for the termination of their professional relationship.
Moving forward, he asked individuals and companies interested in working with him to contact Elaine Chu Suk Yee, whose contact details were included in the statement.
He concluded by thanking the public for their continued support and apologising for any inconvenience caused.
