Former TVB star Helena Law Lan has impressed fans with her enthusiasm at a recent fan meet at Ocean Park Hong Kong, where she warmly greeted attendees.
Dressed in a carefully coordinated purple ensemble with an array of jewellery, the 91-year-old drew attention for her stylish appearance and approachable demeanour.
Many netizens were also impressed by how energetic the Bullets Over Summer (1999) star appeared despite her age.
Law has previously shared several lifestyle habits that she believes have helped her stay active over the years, including maintaining a balanced diet and keeping herself active.
The Hong Kong actress enjoys nourishing soups such as papaya fish broth, chayote soup and snow fungus soup, often adding dried tangerine peel for extra fragrance.
For breakfast, Law typically has a bowl of oatmeal without salt or sugar, alongside an egg for protein. She also incorporates fruits such as oranges, apples and bananas into her diet.
Beyond eating well, Law makes a conscious effort to stay physically active, even while at home.
“Even when I watch television at home, I don’t sit down. The sofa at home is only for displaying dolls,” she told Hong Kong media.
Law made her acting debut in 1939, during the black-and-white film era, and was often cast in antagonist roles.
In 2025, she parted ways with TVB after five decades with the broadcaster, revealing that she had stopped receiving offers for work.
“The company has its own policy. I heard they don’t hire people beyond a certain age, and I’m already way past that age,” she said earlier in May.
Despite the setback, Law made it clear that she had no intention of retiring from acting.
The actress, who has never married, has also spoken candidly about her views on relationships, saying she is content with being single.
“Everyone has their own fate. If it is not meant to be, there is no need to force it,” she said.
Outside of acting, Law has devoted much of her time to charity work.
She also continues to enjoy the support of younger colleagues and friends in the entertainment industry, as per HK01.
