Thai businessman Sunit "Pi" Scott, husband of actress Mild Lapassalan, has been accused by his younger brother Siranudh "Psi" Scott of sexually abusing him during their childhood.

The Scott brothers are the fourth generation of the Bhirombhakdi family, one of Thailand's wealthiest business dynasties which produces Singha Beer.

In a statement on May 9, Psi said he no longer wished to be identified as an heir to the influential Singha beer family, alleging that relatives were aware of the abuse but failed to take any action.

“Everyone in the family knew because they listened to the tape I recorded of my brother confessing.

"No adult in my life has ever helped me. I had to do everything on my own because I had no choice,” he said, as quoted by Singapore news portal 8days.

On top of that, Psi has previously also spoken about past sexual harassment by a caretaker.

He added that he’s currently involved in a legal battle with his mother, who has filed a lawsuit seeking ownership of property previously given to him by his grandfather.

“(My mother) calls me an ungrateful child because I spoke out about what my caregiver did,” he said in his recent statement.

On May 12, Psi's older brother, Pi, took to Mild’s Facebook account – which has more than 4.6 million followers – to deny the allegations, sharing legal documents and statements in his defense.

He admitted to teasing his younger brother and acknowledged that some incidents may have become “rough”, but firmly denied any sexual abuse.

The situation escalated on May 13 after Psi uploaded an audio clip on his Facebook page, saying it contained evidence of his brother’s alleged confession.

According to Thai news portal Thaiger, the recording featured a conversation in which Psi accused Pi of forcing him to perform oral sex when he was around 10 or 11, when Pi was 16.

The recording also allegedly captured Pi saying he was too young at the time to fully understand that his actions were wrong, adding that he had previously attempted to solve the matter privately.

At press time, Pi has not issued a public response to the recording.

Meanwhile, he's facing mounting criticism over the claims, with netizens flaming him for using his wife's social media account to defend himself while his own account is reportedly unavailable.

Mild has also come under fire for remaining silent on the controversy.

Netizens have also accused her of "providing a platform" for her husband to gain supporters.
