In a shocking move, Blake Lively posed on the Met Gala red carpet Monday (May 5), mere hours after she settled her nearly year-and-a-half-long legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

The Gossip Girl alum, 38, flew solo at fashion’s biggest night, when she wore a “Met-ified” archival Versace from 2006, which she said looked “like a sunrise and a sunset.”

The halter gown bore a striking resemblance to the Speak Now dress worn by her pal Taylor Swift at the pop superstar’s Eras Tour.

Lively told La La Anthony that her four kids – who she shares with husband Ryan Reynolds – all drew on her purse for the evening, because, “I’m shy, too.”

In December 2024, Lively sued her It Ends With Us director and costar Baldoni, 42, for alleged sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign.

The pair settled Monday, months after a New York judge dismissed Baldoni’s US$400mil defamation suit and US$250mil libel suit, as well as the sexual harassment allegations brought by Lively.

The terms of the settlement are unclear, but the actors’ legal teams released a joint statement.

“Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind. We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard,” they said.

Earlier Monday, TMZ reported that a Sony email challenged Lively’s denial – made in a July 2025 deposition – that she’d asked Sony to scrap raw footage from the film, which is commonly called “dailies” in the industry.

Lively and Baldoni were previously set to head to trial later this month. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
