Hong Kong actress Kaman Kong was recently in Malaysia to film an advertisement.

Last week, the former TVB actress took to Instagram to share clips and photos from the shoot – her first time working with a Malaysian team – in which she promotes women’s professional care services.

While the ad focuses on wellness, netizens were quick to zero in on her appearance instead.

The 31-year-old has long been open about her fluctuating weight since entering showbiz, with producers reportedly urging her to slim down in her early years.

She has also taken criticism in stride. In 2021, after her appearance at an awards ceremony sparked discussion online, she quipped: “Even seniors I’ve never worked with wanted to introduce me to their gym instructors!”

She added that she hoped to receive “more love from the weight loss industry”.

Since then, Kong has impressed fans with her discipline, working out regularly and regaining a fitter physique, often sharing her progress on social media.

However, her latest appearance has reignited chatter.

Dressed in a fitted white top and jeans, the Tiger Mom Blues star appeared noticeably fuller than before in the ad.

The comments section quickly filled with reactions, ranging from surprise to speculation.

Some questioned whether she had gained weight recently, while others wondered if she might be pregnant.

Given that the ad is on a centre that not only offers women's wellness but also prenatal and postnatal care, a few netizens also joked that she looked like a new mother.

In her Instagram post, Kong expressed gratitude to the Malaysian team for making the experience memorable.

She wrote in the caption: "We girls are always so diligent about caring for our skin, but don’t forget that our body posture and shape are just as important.

"True beauty comes from being well taken care of, inside and out."
