Actor Yusuf Bahrin opens up after wife Zizi Kirana files for divorce: 'This is the end of our journey'

Actor Yusuf Bahrin says he is unaware of the reason behind his wife singer Zizi Kirana filing for divorce at the Petaling Lower Syariah Court on Thursday.

Yusuf, 34, who appeared calm in a grey coat, shook his head when asked about the cause of their separation.

“I do not know the reason, but the separation happened amicably without any dispute.

“There is no hostility or resentment and I hope everyone will pray for the best for us and others,” he said.

He had previously said they tried their best to save the marriage but were unsuccessful.

He added that no married couple hopes for their relationship to end in divorce.

“This is the end of our journey, something I never expected and never thought would happen in my life,” he said.

Yusuf said they would now focus on their respective careers moving forward.

However, he added that they would continue to support each other despite the separation.

Earlier on Thursday morning, speculation surrounding the couple’s marriage was confirmed when they were officially divorced with one pronouncement at the Petaling Lower Syariah Court.

Syarie lawyer Noor Haiza Mariena Mat Ramli, who represented Zizi, said the decision to separate was mutually agreed by both parties.

She said the court later confirmed the divorce as revocable in front of Syarie judge Mohd Saifullah Hamzah.

On Oct 26, 2025, media reported that the singer, whose real name is Nur Fazelah Mad Tahil, had declined to comment on rumours surrounding issues in her marriage.

Zizi and Yusuf were married on Sept 19, 2021, after meeting during the filming of the entertainment programme All Together Now Malaysia. - Sinar Daily
