The legendary singer Jacky Cheung brought his highly anticipated 60+ World Tour Hong Kong Finale to a triumphant close at the Hong Kong Coliseum on Saturday (Jan 24), with a packed audience in attendance.
The 64-year-old singer, who had staged 20 shows in Hong Kong as part of the tour's final leg, demonstrated exceptional stamina and artistry throughout the evening.
During the encore, Cheung performed an astonishing 12 additional songs, displaying the same vigor and passion that fans have come to expect from the pop star.
The Hong Kong finale marked the 324th and final show of the 60+ World Tour, a journey that began several years ago and became a testament to Cheung's enduring power and influence in the Cantonese music scene.
With his iconic voice and commanding stage presence, he captivated the audience from start to finish. However, Cheung admitted that the emotions of the night were bittersweet.
"Honestly, my feelings are complicated. I want to cry, but at the same time, I don't want to cry," Cheung told the crowd.
"I feel both nervous and calm; I don't know how to describe it, but I won't cry! I'm in my 60s now — what's the point of crying at this age?"
Reflecting on the tour and its significance, Cheung spoke candidly about its meaning: "Everything has a beginning and an end. I know this concert has to end, but don't worry — I'll be back soon. After this, everyone will have to work hard because my next project is just around the corner."
The emotional yet lighthearted remarks were met with cheers from the audience, who seemed reluctant to see their idol take a break.
Cheung also took a moment to explain why he embarked on the 60+ tour, saying, "I don't believe 60+ should be seen as a stopping point. I wanted to prove to myself that I could still do it, so I selfishly launched this concert to show that 60 isn't an age to fear."
Throughout the night, Cheung delighted the audience with a selection of his best-loved hits, including Love Is Eternal, She Came To My Concert and This Winter Isn't Too Cold.
The encore featured a mix of upbeat songs such as The Wolf Legend and Summer Never Ends, prompting fans to rise to their feet and join in the celebration, singing and dancing along.
As the evening drew to a close, Cheung delivered a rocking rendition of Kiss Goodbye, leaving the audience electrified and eager for his next project.
