Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei has ended his relationship with his 39-year-old fiancee Chris Wong.

The split comes following reports that Wong has been married to a man surnamed Chen since 2007 and shares a 16-year-old son with him in mainland China.

The Chinese national, whose real name is Wang Qingxia, was also photographed dining with her husband and mother as they celebrated winter solstice in Foshan on Dec 21.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Lee, 75, revealed that he learned of Wong's marital status through an influencer named Hugo on YouTube.

"The winter solstice dinner made me understand everything. She wouldn't even spend such an important day with me, so I couldn't hide the fact anymore," he said.

When asked if it had taken him a long time to come to terms with the truth, Lee replied: "When love comes, it comes. When it has to leave, it leaves. It's up to fate."

For the record, Wong was sentenced to jail by the Shatin Magistrates' Court in June 2024 after pleading guilty to five charges related to overstaying in Hong Kong and document falsification.

During her time behind bars, the former couple exchanged over 300 letters.

Upon her release and deportation back to China in July last year, Lee presented her with a bouquet of 60 roses, pledging to stand by her.

He said then that Wong wanted to keep a low profile moving forward.

In the recent interview, Lee admitted that he and Wong had gradually drifted apart after the latter returned to China.

They later agreed to split amicably while remaining in contact.

While the Journey To The West star declined to comment on whether he had confronted Wong about her marital status, he did send his regards to both Wong and her husband.

"I understand everything now. I was the third party, and I wish them happiness," he said.

Lee and Wong first went public with their romance in 2020.

The actor proposed to Wong while she was in jail last year and expressed his desire to marry her after her release.
