Hong Kong actor Moses Chan has long been celebrated as a "money-making king" in the city's entertainment scene, with his wholesome image attracting a steady stream of brand deals.
Beyond his successful acting career, the 54-year-old has also ventured into food and beverage, launching his own coffee brand Blooms Coffee.
It's reported that Chan owns five coffee shops across Hong Kong, all in prime locations.
However, one branch in a Kwun Tung shopping mall recently closed after four years of operation.
In an interview with Hong Kong media, Chan explained that he had to shutter the shop despite strong business, as the mall management wanted to repurpose the space.
The unit has reportedly been taken over by a pop-up store selling Gundam model kits.
During the interview, Chan made it clear that the space his coffee shop once occupied was rented on a trial basis and was never intended to be a permanent location.
On his overall performance in the food and beverage scene, the actor said it has been fairly stable, adding that coffee isn't a high-spending product easily affected by market fluctuations.
He also announced plans to find another location to resume his coffee business.
Chan is married to former Miss Hong Kong Aimee Chan, 44, since 2013, and the couple shares three children.
Interestingly, the pair got to know each other through their shared love of coffee.
