Kevin Federline is really putting the screws to Britney Spears with more startling revelations from his memoir.
In You Thought You Knew” the second husband of the pop superstar recounts how she allegedly wished that he and their two sons were dead following the end of her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.
According to People magazine, Federline claims the ex-couple’s sons – Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, 19 – already had a troubled relationship with their mother amid her increasingly erratic behaviour, but it reached a “breaking point” in 2023, after Federline relocated his family to Hawaii.
He claims that while on vacation in Europe, Preston had an intense phone conversation with Spears, who blamed Federline, her dad/manager Jamie and other members of the family for her “problems.”
“Preston, to his credit, confronted her. He called out her lies and refused to accept her narrative,” Federline writes in the book. “Her response was chilling: she told him she wished he, his brother, and me were all dead.”
The discussion rattled the 47-year-old, who was married to the Grammy winner from 2004 to 2007: “Hearing Preston recount that conversation devastated me… Trauma like that left scars, ones I fear they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.”
Federline also accuses Spears, 43, of irresponsible parenting, including drinking alcohol while pregnant, doing cocaine while breastfeeding and engaging in disturbing behavior during visits with their sons.
The Britney & Kevin: Chaotic star also sounded the alarm about Spears’ mental wellness, writing that he fears the situation is “racing toward something irreversible.”
Previously, the Jive Records chart-topper slammed Federline’s book, referring to its allegations as “white lies.”
“The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting. I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram.
“I will always love them and if you really know me, you won’t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking. I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years.”
